The Best Smelling Place Around

For 10 years I drove down I5 and noticed the green sign reading “Rhododendron Species Garden” on the side of the road. I kept this place in my mind for years - wanting to go knowing nothing other than the name. This spring I finally made it and I have not stopped raving since.

The walking trails -  lined with 2000 species of rhodies and more plants than you knew existed. The blooms beautiful - with such variety there are incredible sights every season.

As amazing as walking through this paradise is, there’s one spot that trumps it all -

THE GREEN HOUSE.

You walk in and are instantly met with the symphony of scents.

The condensation in the air holds the smells of earthy soils and floral blooms. The leaves breath out a fresh crisp aroma that smells of life deep in the forest.

An overwhelming invigorating perfume I would wear everyday. Intoxicating for every sense - a true experience.

It seems a little crazy to give any travel recommendations based on smell alone - but trust me you’ve never experienced fresh air like this.
